MSA ALTAIR® 5X Multigas Detector
The MSA ALTAIR® 5X is an industry-leading, portable multigas detector designed to deliver maximum safety and performance in hazardous, volatile environments such as oil and gas facilities, chemical processing plants, and mining operations. Powered by advanced MSA XCell® sensor technology and featuring an integral non-detachable sampling pump, the ALTAIR 5X enables simultaneous monitoring of up to six gases. It provides rapid response times and exceptional durability to keep workers protected in Class I, Division 1 and Zone 0/1 hazardous locations.
Engineered for seamless field operation, the ALTAIR 5X features a high-contrast liquid crystal display (LCD) available in color or monochrome options, easily readable even in direct sunlight. Its intuitive 3-button interface is specifically designed for effortless navigation while wearing heavy work gloves, and the rugged rubberized armor protects the device against severe drops and harsh weather conditions. Equipped with an efficient rechargeable Li-ion battery providing at least 20 hours of continuous runtime, standard MotionAlert™ man-down detection, and InstantAlert™ manual alarm activation, this device ensures uninterrupted performance and immediate worker safety in low-light and high-risk field scenarios.
