FAQs:

Can the DT4V5BAT battery pack be recharged?
No. The DT4V5BAT is a non-rechargeable primary electrochemical battery pack. Applying external or reverse charging current creates a serious safety hazard and is strictly prohibited in both safe and hazardous areas.

Can I rebuild or replace individual cells inside the battery pack?
No. Zero field rebuilding is permitted. Replacing individual inner cells or tampering with the harness potting completely voids the ATEX/IECEx intrinsic safety certification. The unit must always be replaced as a complete factory OEM assembly.

Which instruments are compatible with this battery?
The DT4V5BAT is engineered specifically for DATCON instruments, including the DT9100, DT9100 I, DT9100 B, DT9102, and DT9102 I series field indicators and loop displays.

Can I swap this battery directly in a hazardous location?
Disconnect and replace the battery only in accordance with the host instrument’s manual guidelines. Unless explicitly verified de-energized and certified safe by plant safety protocols, battery replacement should be performed outside the hazardous area.
